Breaking Bread
A 30-Day Devotional Journey with Revolution Church
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” – Acts 2:42
At Revolution Church, we believe transformation happens when people gather—around the Word, around prayer, and around the presence of God. Breaking Bread is a 31-day devotional journey rooted in Scripture and shaped by community, inviting believers to be nourished, strengthened, and aligned with the purposes of Christ.
This journey exists to refresh the mind, restore the heart, and reveal the love of Christ through daily practice. Each day at the Table is an invitation to pause, to partake, and to remember that we are not walking this journey alone.
The Table is not about consumption alone; it is about communion. It is where God strengthens us for what lies ahead and reminds us that what He is doing in us is always connected to what He desires to do through us.
As the early Church devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer, we commit ourselves to these same disciplines—forming mature believers grounded in truth and strengthened for faithful obedience to their calling. There is room at the Table.
We partake because He is our daily bread, and from this place of communion, we are renewed, ready, and empowered to live out the revolution of love and purpose entrusted to us.
ABOUT BREAKING BREAD
We invite you to join us daily at this table. Set aside a few moments each day to break bread with the Word, allowing it to nourish your spirit and deepen your walk with Christ. Consistency opens the door to transformation.
Day 11: The Heart Transformation
Lasting change requires more than intention—it requires surrender to God’s transforming work. Day 11 of Breaking Bread draws from Ezekiel 36:26, revealing how God transforms hardened hearts through a process that produces renewal and strength.
Day 10: Godliness With Contentment is Great Gain
True fulfillment is not found in circumstances, but in agreement with what God calls sufficient. Day 10 of Breaking Bread reflects on 1 Timothy 6:6, inviting believers to discover contentment rooted in godliness rather than external gain.
Day 9: Obedience Above Approval
Following God often requires obedience that costs comfort and approval from others. Day 9 of Breaking Bread centers on 1 Samuel 15:22, revealing that faithfulness is measured by obedience to God’s will, not by what is applauded.
Day 8: Let the Word Dwell Richly
Spiritual strength is sustained when the Word of God is given room to shape daily life. Day 8 of Breaking Bread reflects on Colossians 3:16, calling believers to allow God’s Word to dwell richly within them.
Day 7: God Provides an Everlasting Helper
God does not leave His people to walk alone. Day 7 of Breaking Bread reflects on John 14:16, revealing the Holy Spirit as an everlasting helper who remains present with believers.
Day 6: Preparing New Wineskins
Spiritual growth requires internal preparation. Day 6 of Breaking Bread reflects on Matthew 9:17, revealing how God prepares hearts to receive what He is ready to release.
Day 5: Presence Over Performance
God prioritizes presence and obedience over activity and performance. Day 5 of Breaking Bread reflects on Psalm 46:10, reminding us that stillness before God is essential for spiritual clarity.
Day 4: Obedience Is Better Than Sacrifice
God weighs obedience more heavily than outward sacrifice. According to 1 Samuel 15:22, hearts that trust God choose to stand in submission to His voice. True surrender produces humility that aligns actions with God’s will.
Day 3: For God So Loved That He Gave
God’s love is revealed through sacrificial giving, not mere sentiment. Day 3 of Breaking Bread reflects on John 3:16, revealing the depth of God’s love through what He willingly gave.
Day 2: Loving Instruction Is Loving God
Instruction forms intimacy, and correction strengthens alignment with God’s purpose. Proverbs 12:1 establishes that maturity grows where hearts endure discipline. A teachable spirit chooses to stand under God’s instruction rather than resist it.
Day 1: Then it Came to Pass
God’s promises are not delayed or diminished by time. Day 1 of Breaking Bread reflects on 1 Kings 18:44, reminding us that what God has spoken will surely come to pass.
