Day 20: Faithful Service and God’s Reward
Breaking Bread — 31-Day Devotional Journey
Scripture Reference: Acts 20:35; Luke 1:8–13; Colossians 3:24
Prophet Doris Bitolas shares from Acts 20:35 on serving faithfully and receiving God’s reward.
Acts 20:35 declares a Kingdom truth that challenges self-centered faith: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Scripture reveals that giving is not limited to resources but includes service, obedience, and stewardship of what God has entrusted. When faith matures, it moves beyond continual receiving and begins to release what has been cultivated.
Luke 1:8–13 shows Zechariah serving faithfully before God when divine intervention occurs. While he was ministering, God answered a long-held prayer. This moment establishes that obedience positions believers to receive God’s appointed reward, not human recognition. Service offered unto the Lord carries eternal weight and divine response.
Colossians 3:24 affirms that the true reward of service comes from the Lord Himself. Faithful service is never overlooked, delayed without purpose, or misplaced. God sees every act done unto Him and releases reward according to His timing and wisdom.
